Type Posters

Futura & Didot

San Serif Shown Visually

Inspiration

These two differently styled posters are made to showcase the history, anatomy, and use of famous but different typefaces. One font showcased here is a very popular san-serif font, Futura. To show the time period from which it was made, the 1920s, the poster is designed in the art style, Bauhaus. This can be seen in strong geometric styling with bold and bright color choice of red and yellow. The other poster shows off another san-serif font, Didot. To show off its classic styling, it uses alternating colors of a light shade of tan and a dark shade of brown to demonstrate its class and age. This was made to replicate the style of older literature like 1800’s naval maps.

Product Description

The audience for these pieces is anyone who enjoys type/simple designs. I validate the effectiveness of it being appealing to the eye, informative, and a clean design.
