On the Top

A continuing personal project of mine of designing minimalist/geometric inspired T-shirts as well as Japanese culture and punk culture-inspired T-shirts. This operation was started by me in 2016 in searching for shirts I like/I would wear. Over the years I have added on to the collection. The original idea for this project was inspired by many pop artists, illustrators, and designers who have done similarly like Tobin David Lee, @iamdooom, and Jon Benson in addition to Japanese comic artists like Kohei Horikoshi. It was originally based on a simple sketch made from incomplete squares and inspired by a series of minimalist designs/ tattoos. Another of the shirt design was “Broken Heart”. It is an anatomical looking heart done in a fragmented design of red and gray rectangular shapes. It was screen-printed on it. The design was a reprise of one of my original designs in the same style. The next design and the newest is “Graphic T-Shirt”. It is a shirt with a handwritten looking kanji that translates to “Graphic T-shirt”. It is screen-printed, available in multiple colors, and inspired by Japanese Kanji as well as Kohei Horikoshi, a Japanese Comic Book artist. On the more illustrative side, the design, “Dead Media” was inspired by graphic street art, punk rock, and an introspective look at the current state of the world and tech. The final design is my stylistic representation of the Black Lives matter symbol; All proceeds of the shirt went straight back into donations and raised over 400 dollars for the cause. The audience for these pieces is anyone who enjoys simple designs and fans of Japanese Culture. There is nothing else to add to it; All of these reach a younger audience of 14-40 with fans of geometric and nerdy designs.

Reclaim The Block

The final design is my representation of the Black Lives Matter symbol in my own geometric style; All proceeds of the shirt went straight back into donations to charities like the Reclaim the Block Organization and other charities supported by the organization. Over 400 dollars was raised for for the cause.
